An Ancient Science
Ayurveda is an ancient holistic wellness system that looks at balance between body, mind and environment. It considers your individual constitution, food, lifestyle and natural therapies as part of one connected picture — focused on preventive, lifelong wellbeing rather than quick fixes.
The energy of movement, governing breath, circulation and the nervous system. When balanced, Vata brings creativity, lightness and calm.
The energy of transformation, governing digestion and metabolism. When balanced, Pitta brings clarity, focus and warmth.
The energy of structure, governing stability and immunity. When balanced, Kapha brings strength, patience and steadiness.
Living Ayurveda
Ayurveda extends beyond the treatment room. Diet, daily rhythm, rest and natural therapies all play a part. At Vedhara, we introduce you to these principles gently, so you can carry a little of that balance home with you.
Note: Ayurveda is a traditional wellness system and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
Complementary Practice
Ayurveda and yoga share the same root wisdom — both aim to bring body, breath and mind back into balance. At Vedhara, gentle yoga sessions are offered alongside your therapies, so what you learn on the mat supports what you experience in treatment.
Guests come away having learned simple asana and stretching suited to their constitution, breathing techniques (pranayama) to calm the nervous system, and short guided meditations that are easy to continue at home. Sessions are unhurried and adapted to every level, from first-timers to experienced practitioners, so you leave with a small daily routine rather than just a workout.
